Soooooooo welcome to Two Bad B*tches. It's a new blog my friend and I decided to start after reading a Cosmo for Latinas that was far more different that the regular Cosmo (less articles about sex, more articles about jobs). We pretty much decided why don't we start something to talk about the lives of women that look like us. We had to come up with a name and after thinking about every stereotype that people have about Black women we came to three names: Two Black Girls Twerking (we can't twerk), Two Angry Black Women (because all Black women are angry according to the paper), and finally this one Two Bad B*tches. We asked a group of our friends which blog they would read simply based on the name and Two Bad B*tches was the winner overall.
I obviously knew that the name was going to cause some type of controversy seeing how the use of the word "b*tch" has come under so much fire in the Black Hip Hop community with people like Oprah speaking out about it. I want you guys to know that the name is being used to be PROVOCATIVE not offense. With that said i don't want to find our blog being ripped apart by some super Black feminist who feels we are degrading the entire race. My writing partner and I are both seniors in college about to graduate. We hope to have this blog just talk about fashion, relationships, stuff happening in the news, and whatever else from the Black woman's perspective.
